Day 3 of 365

Fear is a Liar

{ When he told you, you're not good enough
When he told you, you're not right
When he told you, you're not strong enough to put up a good fight
When he told you, you're not worthy
When he told you, you're not loved
When he told you, you're not beautiful
You'll never be enough

Fear, he is a liar
He will take your breath
Stop you in your steps
Fear, he is a liar
He will rob your rest
Steal your happiness
Cast your fear in the fire
'Cause fear, he is a liar }

I heard this song on my run today and it stopped me dead in my tracks. This is me. I hear this voice constantly. I'm not good enough. I'm not loved. I'm not worthy. I'm not pretty enough. And so on. I am so bogged down by the idea that I am alone because I am being punished for mistakes I made, for believing someone for far too long. And because of it I am letting fear get the better of me. Enough is enough though. I'm ready to give it back and to truly start fresh.

Day 2 of 365

“Do the one thing you think you cannot do. Fail at it. Try again. Do better the second time. The only people who never tumble are those who never mount the high wire. This is your moment. Own it.” - Oprah Winfrey

It's a new year and I've done this before - I've set goals, made mistakes, fallen off track, and then given up completely. This year, however is going to be different. On Day 2 I was back in Tampa and headed out for a run on the Bay. This is one of the most beautiful paths to run. It reminds me of being back in NYC only here I don't have to bundle up for a run on January 2. I've been unhappy for too long; this year is going to be different. And that change starts with me and my mindset. So here's to sticking to these goals I've set. Putting my health and wellness first, and believing that I have the ability to become the exact person I've wanted to be for far too long. Cheers to 2019!

Day 1 of 365

"I hope that in this year to come, you make mistakes. Because if you are making mistakes, then you are making new things, trying new things, learning, living, pushing yourself, changing yourself, changing your world. You’re doing things you’ve never done before, and more importantly, you’re doing something."
